Sara Kerr, CEBT

Director of Regulatory Affairs

As Director of Clinical Services, Sara provides strategic and innovative oversight to all aspects of the department.  She is an accomplished trainer, skilled in driving efficiencies, and works diligently to ensure that Miracles In Sight’s mission is fulfilled.  Sara serves on numerous EBAA committees that include Accreditation Board, Certification Board, Exam Committee, Medical Advisory Board, Medical Review Subcommittee, and Statistical Report Committee.

Sara began her career in eye banking in 2007 as a night/weekend recovery and lab technician while pursuing her undergraduate degree in Biology at Loyola University New Orleans. After college, she obtained her CEBT and served as Technical Director for Southern Eye Bank where she continued to hone her technical and leadership skills. In 2016, Sara joined the Miracles In Sight team as the Clinical Services Supervisor overseeing day-to-day operations of the lab including tissue evaluation, processing, distribution, as well as the donor eligibility department.
