  • In 2008, I was a recipient of a cornea transplant. I wanted to stop and take a moment to let the family of the donor know how much I appreciate the gift of sight they gave me and that my transplant was a success! I couldn’t believe how bright colors were and how sharp and crisp my vision is.

I couldn’t believe that someone I didn’t even know would care enough to give their loved one’s corneas to me. Because of the gift of sight, I was able to touch the lives of others as an EMS technician.
